Mariela Eula

Professional Overview

Mariela Eula is a multifaceted professional with significant contributions in several fields. She is known as a psychoanalyst, forensic psychologist, legal, journalistic, and literary translator, and a writer focused on psychoanalysis and human rights, particularly concerning women, children, and adolescents in Mexico.

As a psychoanalyst, Eula has been involved in both clinical and academic settings, sharing her expertise through various publications and teachings. Her work as a forensic psychologist has often intersected with her advocacy for human rights, where she has applied her psychological insights to support legal processes and provide expert testimony.

Eula's contributions as a translator encompass legal, journalistic, and literary domains, where she has bridged language barriers and facilitated cross-cultural communication. Her literary translations include complex journalistic and literary texts, which she has made accessible to a broader audience.

Her writing addresses critical issues in psychoanalysis and human rights, focusing on the rights and wellbeing of women, children, and adolescents. Eula has published books on topics such as the female body, anorexia, and gender perspectives, providing valuable insights and advocating for better mental health and social justice.

In 2019, Eula won an essay contest sponsored by the Red por los Derechos de la Infancia en México (REDIM) and the United Nations, highlighting her commitment to children's rights. This essay contributed to broader discussions on the conditions and challenges faced by young people in Mexico.

Mariela Eula has also been a mentor for students and professionals, collaborating with institutions like Yale University and McMaster University, where she has guided and influenced many in the fields of psychology and human rights.

Her extensive body of work reflects her dedication to understanding and improving the human condition through psychoanalysis, legal support, and advocacy for vulnerable populations.
